Lawn Bowls is a traditional sport originated in the twelfth century, and practiced in several countries. It has gained tremendous popularity in England, especially in the south, where it counts with thousands of active players. As this sport does not require a good physical preparation, it is suitable for all ages. The Lawn Bowls is usually played outdoors on grass or on an artificial grass surface called the bowling green. The goal of the game is to roll asymmetric balls, called bowls, as close as possible to another smaller ball, usually white, called "jack" or "kitty".
